About the Piece
Have you ever heard of Harris Burdick? One day, about 40 years ago, Harris Burdick brought a stack of 14 illustrations to a publisher by the name of Peter Wenders. These illustrations were accompanies by one line from a short story that the illustration was supposed to accompany. Burdick told Wenders that he will be back the next day with the stories, and if Wenders enjoys them, Burdick would like to get them published. The problem however, was that Burdick was never seen again after this encounter.
The entire story of Harris Burdick is filled with mystery, along with the illustrations he had left behind.
This painting is inspired by Burdick’s story. The piece is named after a piece of prose that will never be released, left to invite you to imagine the story behind the piece.
